Many times I have asked myself whether we are really able to imagine the real horror lived by the people during the Second World War. If even today, we feel fright, thinking about the horrors of the Holocaust, how many shivers Sanz Briz and others like him that risked their lives to save those of many others had to feel!. I think there will never be enough words to thank this Spanish diplomat.
Nazi ideology destroyed everything around itself, even its own followers. In an exhibition that I visited about the Nuremberg Trials, there was a photograph of female German guards of a concentration camp. Looking at their faces you could not see any trace of humanity remaining in them. They were also devoured by an ideology which made them become killers. (Por: a30s)
